Bobby Orr

One can't think of hockey in Boston without picturing Number 4. Bobby Orr played 12 seasons in the NHL (10 with the Boston Bruins) and in the process, revolutionized not only the defenseman position, but the way the game was played on the whole. With a rare combination of size, strength, speed, and skill, Orr was the protypical defensman that have come to dominate the league today. Orr's carrer accolades include: the Calder Trophy (Top Rookie), Eight Norris Trophies (Top Defenseman), Two Art Ross Tropies (Leading Scorer, only defenseman to ever do so), Three Hart Tropies (Most Valuable Player), Two Conn Smythe Tropies (Playoff Most Valuable Player), and Two Stanley Cups (1970 & 1972), elected to Hockey Hall of Fame (1979).
Derek Sanderson

Derek Sanderson was integral part of the Bruins team that won Stanley Cup championships in 1970 and 1972. Nicknamed "Turk," Sanderson was a fan favorite who played a pivotal role as one of the most highly regarded penalty killers and faceoff men in hockey. Sanderson will forever be remember for the perfect pass on the stick of Bobby Orr that resulted in the goal that not only won the Bruins their first Stanley Cup in twenty-nine years, but became the most widely published photo in hockey history.
Noah Welch

Noah Welch is the organizer and inspiration behind the Hock, Rock, and Bowl. Welch grew up in Brighton, attended St. Sebastian's before moving on to Harvard University. A First Team All-American at Harvard, Welch was drafted 54th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2001. Welch spent almost two seasons with the Florida Panthers before being traded this year to the Tampa Bay Lighting.
Michael Ryan

Michael Ryan, a native of Boston and graduate of Northeastern University, the former Husky captain, joins an impressive list of NHL players from Boston at this year's Hock, Rock & Bowl. Ryan was originally drafted in the 2nd round by the Dallas Stars in 1999 and was acquired by the Sabres in a trade for Stu Barnes. Ryan, a product of BC High School, recently completed his first season with the Carolina Hurricanes.
Chris Nowinski

Harvard graduate Chris Nowinski is best known as "Chris Harvard," a former professional wrestler with World Wrestling Entertainment. He debuted on WWE's flagship program Monday Night RAW in 2002, when he was named "Newcomer of the Year" by RAW Magazine, and was the youngest male Hardcore Champion in WWE history before his career was ended in 2003 by a concussion.
Through his own efforts he discovered research linking multiple concussions with serious long-term neurological disorders like Alzheimer's disease, memory impairment, and depression. He found that throughout sports, there is a startling lack of awareness, diagnosis, and treatment of these injuries that threatens the health and well-being of athletes of all ages. This led Chris to write the book, "Head Games: Football?s Concussion Crisis", published in 2006, in an effort to educate parents, coaches, and children about this serious public health issue. He is a frequent guest on CNN, ESPN, CSTV, and National Public Radio.
Tim Burke

Tim Burke is a former relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the Montreal Expos (1985-1991), New York Mets(1991-1992) and New York Yankees (1992). In an eight-season career, Burke posted a 49-33 record with a 2.72 ERA and 102 saves in 498 games pitched. He led the league in appearances in 1985, with 78. He made the National League All-star team in 1989. Burke is a born-again Christian who retired from baseball in 1993 in order to help raise his four adopted children. In 1994 Burke authored Major League Dad: The Moving Story of an All-Star Pitcher Who Gave up Baseball for His Family. Along with wife Christine, he adopted two children from Korea, one from Vietnam and one from Guatemala with the assistance of International Children Services in Eugene, Oregon.
Kevin Chapman

Kevin Chapman is an American actor from Boston, Massachusetts known for his big build and acting roles as police officers and mobsters. Chapman was discovered by the late Ted Demme while he was working in the City Of Boston film office.
Demme cast Chapman as Mickey Pat in Monument Ave. (1998). Other notable film roles of his include The Cider House Rules, 21 Grams, In Good Company, an Italian mobster in Boondock Saints (1999), thug Val Savage in Mystic River (2003), and Fire Lt. Frank McKinney in Ladder 49 (2004). Chapman is currently playing an Irish Mob boss, Freddie Cork, in the Showtime original series Brotherhood. Brotherhood aired in 2006 and renewed a fresh new season on September 30, 2007. He has also appeared in several episodes of Rescue Me.
Lyndon Byers

Joining the Bruins at the end of the 1983–84 season, he scored two goals and four assists for six points while amassing 32 PIMs. Bouncing back and forth between the parent club and the minors, his best statistical season came in 1987–88, when he put up 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points while amassing 249 PIMs in 53 games for the Bruins. His efforts protecting star players such as Ray Bourque led the Bruins to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Byers finished his NHL career in 1992–93 with the San Jose Sharks, ending his playing career with the International Hockey League's Minnesota Moose in 1994–1995. He scored 28 goals and 43 assists for 71 points and amassed 1,081 PIMs in 279 NHL games.
Shortly after he finished playing hockey, he returned to the Boston area and became a co-host of the Hill Man Morning Show on radio stationWAAF-FM where he is an air personality and sports specialist.
Byers has made several appearances on the FX drama/comedy Rescue Me with well-known Bruins fan Denis Leary, as well as fellow former BruinsCam Neely and Phil Esposito. He had a cameo appearance in the films Shallow Hal and Stuck On You as well.
James Driscoll

Driscoll turned professional in 2001. He won his first and only professional event at the 2004 Nationwide Tour event the Virginia Beach Open. He has been on and off the PGA Tour for a couple years, but his top 25 finish on the 2007 Nationwide Tour money list has given him PGA Tour membership for 2008. Driscoll was runner-up at the PGA Tour's Zurich Classic of New Orleans in 2005. James lost to Tim Petrovic in a sudden-death playoff after missing a birdie putt on the final green of regulation for the win. He had his second runner-up finish on the 2009 Valero Texas Open, loosing to Zach Johnson in a sudden death playoff.

His best finish on the PGA TOUR in 2009 is 2nd at the Valero Texas Open.
He ranks 21st in Eagles (Holes per) on the PGA TOUR.
Mitch Belisle

Professional Career:Obtained by the Boston Blazers in the NLL dispersal draft in June 2008 with their second pick, Belisle was a key contributor on defense for the NY Titans in his first season in the NLL in 2008. In 2009, Belisle helped lead the Blazers into the playoffs and finished the team's inaugural season with 3 goals and 4 assists.
College Career: A 2007 winner of the Schmeisser Cup, which honors the collegiate national defenseman of the year…was first team All-American in his senior year…two-time First-team All-Ivy pick as a junior and senior…Academic All-Ivy and honorable mention All-American in 2006…Belisle started every game during his final three seasons and averaged 34 ground balls per season.
Sean Morris

Professional Career: Acquired by the Boston Blazers through a trade with the San Jose
Stealth…Morris was originally selected by the Colorado Mammoth in the 2007 NLL entry draft…In his debut with the Stealth in 2008, he recorded 2 goals and 2 assists, earning “Rookie of the Week” honors. Morris finished the inaugural Blazers season with 8 goals and 16 assists.
College Career: A two-time Tewaaraton Trophy finalist, distinguishing him as one of the top 5 players in the nation two years in a row…First Team All-American as a senior...New England Player of the Year as a junior and senior…named to the NCAA All-Tournament team in 2006…Morris finished his career at UMASS with a 40-game-point-scoring-streak that dates back to his sophomore year.
